Kathryn Hummer

Kathryn “Katie” Hummer founded Kin Commercial in 2014, bringing extensive experience in commercial real estate and a passion for connecting people, properties, and communities. Her expertise spans land acquisitions and dispositions, educational and community facilities, and retail leasing, with a particular focus on schools, faith-based organizations, and mission-driven nonprofits.

Katie began her real estate career in 2008 as Business Development Manager for Intrawest, a leading North American resort developer and operator. Since then, she has represented a diverse portfolio of institutional, nonprofit, and private-sector clients. Notably, she has maintained a longstanding relationship with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver, advising on the sale, leasing, and strategic repositioning of underutilized properties. Other past and present clients include Journey Church Colorado, Colorado Christian University, STEM Highlands Ranch, DSST Public Schools, French American School of Denver, Legacy Institute/MESA K-8, Hope & Home Foster Care Agency, The Other Side Academy (TOSA), ForestCity Commercial, and Fidelity Investments. Katie also supported national franchise expansion for Sola Salon Studios.

Katie’s commitment to community extends beyond her professional work. She is a member of IMPACT 100, founder of SheBuilds, a women-focused real estate networking organization, and a Girl Scout troop leader. She also supports a multitude of other community serving organizations including Boys Hope Girls Hope Colorado and Denver Kids.
